How long til the EDC bois just admit they wished they could pull off carrying a purse?

I’m curious what pants you all wear that have pockets to accommodate this much gear.

A pocket for your pocket. What a time to be alive!

Glad to see that you included Hide and Drink. Nobody in the EDC game seems to mention them. I carry one of their minimalist wallets and absolutely love it. And you can't beat the fact that it's the same quality as everyone else's minimalist leather wallets but costs $20

Being sponsored by Buck is like being approved by all grandfathers in the US. What an honor. Good work, fellas.

Yellowbirch Outfitters. Different sizes and color combos. I do a pen, pencil, sharpie and SAK (compact of course). Business cards, cash and a pocket comb in the zip pouch in the back. Solid video bud, keep it up!

Very informative! I ended up just grabbing a fanny pack for my EDC because it was just easier for me living in Hawaii where I pretty much wear boardshorts exclusively (no pockets). Inside the fanny pack I use an Oak City Leather Wilmington Journal Cover for my pen, notes, money and cards, a Long Hunter Supply 4x4 pouch made out of waxed canvas for my zippo, handkerchief and SAK.

Been a cop for a while and it became habit to always jot something down so I would remember everything and not miss any type of information.

I much prefer the yellow birch outfitters PocKit or PocKit pro as their sizes fit a fields notes and front pockets are much more well fitted to standard EDC gear. Would highly recommend them over hide and drink

I don't ask this in any sort of insulting or condescending way, I'm genuinely curious: can anyone who EDCs a notebook explain why and what you use it for? What is the obsession?

I'm 45. I hike, I camp, I hunt, I hang out at the lake, I go shopping, I go to church, I go to the homes of my friends and family, I go to work, I pick my kids up from school, I take the dogs for a walk, I do yardwork, I go on roadtrips, I sit on my porch with a beer and some tobacco.

I have my own EDC that suits me and my lifestyle.

Not once in 45 years have I ever needed a pocket notebook, nor ever once thought, "gee, I wish I had a tiny piece of waterproof paper to write on."

So, what's the deal? What do you guys use a tiny pocket notebook for on a regular basis? What am I missing?

I still have my buck folder, bought it at the first base I was stationed at in. 1972 and carried it for years when I got into the Fire Dept.

I came to this to look for a pouch for my grandson. I stayed for the backdrops. Nice video!

I've been carrying Maxpedition's Micro for about six months now. I like the capacity, which is easily twice that of any of the ones in the video. It also accomplishes this feat without being too much more bulky(fat).

The problem I have been dealing with is, once it got broken in, it got soggy, and my gear isn't being held tightly in place anymore. In fact, that's why I'm online watching videos on pocket organizers. I certainly could never use any of the ones you mentioned. I need way more stuff than any of those would carry.

Hitch and timber waxed canvas. Definitely the best for my needs and the glow rhino fob on by profile goes right on the zip!

I've been carrying the Alpaka Zip Pouch Pro for a little over a month now after hearing you talk about it a while back and I'm really glad I bought one! I carry a Gerber Armbar-Drive, Knipex 4" Cobra, Olight O'Pen Mini, and than some cards and cash in my Zip Pouch Pro

I have been building my everyday carry for the last couple years, it keeps evolving. It differs from when I’m working to when I’m not. One of my favourite punches is the Leatherman tool pouch. I have the learherman raptor, skeletool, but extenders regular and ratcheting, Olight Baton 3 rechargeable and 3 bit kits.

I’ve been carrying the Arc Marksman for about 5 years. It’s held up great. The pockets do stretch a little over time. I also figured out a system for carrying cards and cash in the back pocket: I sandwich cash in between my cards, with the one card I use the most in the front and the other three behind; that separation makes it easy to grab just the one card and gives me something solid against the cash when sliding it in or out.
