INGREDIENTS
3 chicken leg quarters, cut into 2

For the marinade:
2 tablespoons calamansi juice
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 egg white

For the breading:
3/4 cup flour
1/4 cup cornstarch
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon fine white pepper
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon 5-spice powder
1 teaspoon chili powder
cooking oil, for frying

For the gravy:
3 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons flour
1/4 cup chopped canned mushrooms
Five-spice powder
1 tablespoon liquid seasoning
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 1/4 cups canned mushroom brine
black pepper

7 years ago I celebrated my son’s birthday in your restaurant in acacia estate in taguig city. The food was amazingly delicious. Now that we are in USA, we miss this kind of foods, thanks for the recipe and tips. We got to cook filipino foods abroad! More power!

Ito inulam namin kanina for dinner at masarap po pero may ginawa ako ibang twist instead of flour gamit ko crispy fried nilagyan ko pa din nakasulat sa ingred tapos sa gravy nman instead of mushroom lan lagay ko cream mushroom hahaha thank you chef sa recipe na ito..more recipe pa po simpol..God bless po!

Chicken talaga masarap yan lalo na pag prito grabe yummy napapadami kain ko...parang gusto ko tuloy kumain ng chicken...lagi na lang japanese food nakakain ko..
