Excellent! Great camera placement, and appreciate your not trying to hide difficulties from us. Many thanks. As I watched the video, I made some notes as a guide for when I replace my own dishwasher in a few days. Here they are, hoping it helps others.

1. Turn of power, at outlet under sink if possible, at junction box if not.
2. Turn off water to DW (under sink).
3. Place bucket and/or towel under sink before removing DW drain hose (white, plastic, flexible) from disposer or sink.
4. Remove water supply line (under sink) to DW. If not steel-braided, buy new line that is. Have towel ready.
5. Feed 1) drain hose, 2) water supply line and 3) power cord through hole back to DW. (So when pulling out old DW, will not snag.)

6. Remove kick panel of old DW. (Unscrew x2.)
7. Remove tabs (2) on top of DW holding it in place.
8. Pull DW out.
9. Lay DW on its back on cardboard packing it came in.

10. Connect 90-degree elbow steel-braid hose to DW.
11. Connect electrical power cord to DW.
12. Stand DW upright.

13. Connect drain hose. After sure hose connection is good, clamp.
14. Feed power cord and water line back to under-sink area.
15. Connect water line.

16. Push DW into place.
-- Be alert to kinking or breaking drain tube, power line and water line.
-- Level feet. Put level inside DW to set levelers.
-- Use old DW's insulation if possible for additional soundproofing.
17. Screw tabs (2) to underside of countertop, matching holes on DW.

18. Turn on water. Be alert for leak at connection point under sink and under DW (large right angle connector).
19. If no leaks, install kick plate. Find insulation to go behind kick plate.

Great video, very easy to follow and exactly what I was hoping to find. This weekend I hope mine goes as good as that! Also, replacing my old GE profile with a new GE one. Looking forward to the 3rd rack for bigger cooking utensils and the 4 cup cleaners, just like yours. Only got 8 years out of the old one, but I was told that's normal. Just don't make things to last (said the old guy). I also agree with one of the comments that too bad the connection kit isn't included. All that space inside the dishwasher to stow it!

I’m going from a Frigidaire that’s probably 15 years old and was most definitely the cheapest available at that time. It wasn’t installed very well either so it’s leaked since we bought the house 2 summers ago. I’m currently installing a brand new $700 Frigidaire. Cant wait.

I’m going to install one of these this weekend but ours doesn’t have the handle that sticks out. I have to ask, it looks like your floor was installed AFTER your first washer was put in, so it looks like there’s a slight “step down” to the underlayment from the wood floor. Was there any problem with lowering the feet and getting the washer into the space ??
I have ceramic tile that was installed AFTER my original washer was installed, so my big fear is that my tile floor will be too high to allow me to get the washer to drop into the space. We’re you able to shrink the height, with the feet, enough to fit your space ? Thanks for posting.

How long did it take you to do the entire project? From beginning to remove the old dishwasher to installing the new one?

Can you get your fingers in the gap between the dishwasher door and the bottom of counter top if you need to stop the cycle for any reason?

Do you like the GE Profile dishwasher? We have the GE Artistry which is a lower priced version and it is 7 years old and about at the end. The racks are rusty, the front is rusty near the vent (it's white, so we will probably get stainless steel the next time), and it's getting noisy. I have yet to see a positive writeup about the Profile but do you like it? Or do you think you should have bought a Bosch?

Nice video but what about the high-gap or what code requires in certain states, “Air-gap?”

how long after finishing the cycle do you leave it closed for the dying.?

My dishwasher drain is connected to a Y shaped connector that is installed in the countertop. The drain hose from the dishwasher is connected to this connector and there is a hose from the connector that is connected to the garbage disposal. I was wondering if i should keep the same setup of connecting the drain hose or connect the drain hose directly
to the garbage disposal.

I don't if you can help me but I'll ask anyway. I replaced my dishwasher. Everything went good until I tried to plug it in. The outlet was a 2 prong the cord is a 3 prong so I replaced the outlet. Plugged in the dishwasher and no power. Check the wiring and it was fine. Called my daughter who does construction work. She said plug it into an extension cord. It worked. Bought a new outlet same thing no power. Would a 20 Amp GFI give enough power for the dishwasher to work?
Hope you answer. Thank you.

I have a GE dishwasher and will not start. The light indicator above the start button doesn’t light up. It worked for one load and stop😢working. Is it worth to fix it?
