I wonder if you can solve my problem. I have an automatic garage door opener. (Wide door made for a double car garage) . Somehow the opener got zapped and did not work. So I pulled down on the cord and for weeks I have been able to manually open the garage door. One day I opened it and the metal line on the side got tangled. They only way for me to remedy this was to CUT the metal cord. (This is the one attached to the wired dumbs in the center of the door). I had to cut BOTH because it would not open. Now I have a garage door with no metal cords attached to the tightly wound drums in the center. THE DOOR IS CLOSED SHUT LIKE IT HAS 500 POUNDS OF BRICKS ON IT. Any thoughts? Everything is so expensive I am trying to fix things on my own. I appreciate any help you may have. Be well.

My door closes to about a foot off the floor feels resistance and goes back up. I've checked the rails and they're parallel and plumb. I've lubed all wheels and joints but I'm guessing it's with the geometry of the connection to the overhead center track because I can see the track bow up at that point. How can I correct this?

My gagage door on the last foot or two going up pulls up really hard. The opener will not close the door. Help!

My Garage door will close all the way, but then just kinda jams shut, I need to pull on the release cable to open it again. This sometimes happens, but not always. Does anyone have a clue.
