A Carolina wren flew into my open window and was looking inside my kitchen to look for nesting opportunities. Crazy birds.

I just came across this video, and I love it! We have Carolina wrens nest on our patio every year. The presence of people and dogs does not bother them at all. Those little brown birds bring a lot of joy to our house.😊

We're blessed to have a family of 5 being raised in a tin planter that is nailed to our front porch post. The Daddy sits on our flagpole proudly announcing he is helping Mom in feeding their kids.

I loved this. The way in which you narrate and tell the story reminds me a lot of Joe Hutto. Beautiful video. Keep them coming

We had a pair of Wrens nest in my old gas grill a couple of years ago, and I stuck a bore scope camera in to see the chicks, and I began to put out suet, and meal worms for them. We noticed later that summer, that the wrens were going around our house, and EATING THE LARVA OUT OF PAPER WASP NESTS! They are my heroes! We do every thing we can to encourage the local birds to come by, have a snack, and to eat bugs.
Between that, and the addition of 3 chickens, our once burgeoning spider, tick, and wasp populations are gone.

Love those little birds. Got a pair back for a second year building under the back of one of my chicken coops. They found their way into my black soldier fly bin where I raise larva and raided it regularly feeding out their babies. Then showed the babies to the stash after they fledged out. They mopped up on larva all summer till cold weather shut it down.
Moving the bug farm indoors in a shed this year but I set up the old bin and got it started for the wrens a couple of weeks ago. Got a good population of them around here. Hope they all find their way to the bugs.

A Carolina Wren pair hav built a nest in a plant pot hanging from our fence. The father wren calls to all and sundry that this is his territory. Such beautiful birds. Their sassiness reminds me of
English Robbins. A great presentation of the life of family Carolina Wrens.

Always brings a smile to my face seeing nearly-fledged chicks packed into their nest, sometimes overflowing from it, as they exercise and try to find space for themselves. I can't imagine it to be comfortable, though they never seem to mind that much. Thanks for the video-- amazing footage for an amazing bird.

I have a pare raising on my front porch in my wife's big fern. Always liked the little wren. As a hunter one the first birds or animals you hear or see in the morning as the sun comes up.

I love how the wren extends its neck so much when singing! Explains how the little birds have such loud voices! Thank for documenting this nest cycle🙂🙂🙂

Thank you for the plans. I have just downloaded them. This was the first winter I never raked up my leaves. A few weeks ago I noticed a colony of wrens living on one side of my house. Literally dozens of them. I have since learned that the dead leaves and the insects living under them are what attracted them to my yard. Now I want to build them some houses!

I had a CW family last summer hanging around my yard and meal worm feeder. The entire family disappeared late summer. A male returned this winter alone as far as I can tell. This species is my favorite. So happy and curious.
