Some people have at its favorite Comfortably Numb, or Us and Them. For me the all time favorites are Echoes and Atom Heart Mother Suite.

The guy on the grand piano is Ron Geesin, the man that orchestrated Atom Heart Mother for the Floyd.  This was done so well it had me weeping.

I find it amazing that David Gilmour has said this was "mostly rubbish" and Roger Waters wouldn't play it again for a million pounds.  This is a brilliant piece of music.

When I was young, my brother wanted to give me a record for my birthday and he ask me « which one ». With the hope of getting Animal, but with a poor knowledge of Floyd, I answered « Give me the one with animal on the cover ». This was one of the best mistake of my youth. Since then I got all the records from PF and all the solos of all members, but this one is on top of the favorite pile, just before « Animals ». Thank you for making it alive

What a timeless classic. I hope one hundred years from now orchestras will not just be playing Beethoven and Brahms but also Atom Heart Mother by Pink Floyd. This conductor and orchestra have led the way beautifully.

Pink Floyd deserve a lot of credit for coming out with this album when they did-it was very uncommercial and sold badly - and Geesin deserves a helluva lot of credit as it was more him than them.Great stuff!
