A note to people in the UK: Our sprinkles do not have the same preservatives as American sprinkles and therefore tend to bleed into the cake batter if mixed in and disappear. I would recommend just using them on the outside :)

I find it so interesting that in America this is a birthday cake. In my country birthday cake is whichever cake you want for your birthday with candles on top. This is a white cake with sprinkles (which only add color, not flavor )

Tip: if you don’t have cake flour you can substitute 1 tbls of corn starch for every 1 cup of flour in the recipe
Ex: 4 cups of flour 4 tbls (1/4 cup) corn starch

Ain’t no way they said “Swiss meringue was too heavy so we chose American buttercream” bruh. Anyone reading this and wanting to try this recipe out PLEASE USE SWISS MERINGUE!!! It way less sweet and dense and it’s not that much harder to make. Also it’s shiny and pretty 😙
