I've had some opinions on the show and also kinda the object show community in general that's been bothering me, so I wanted to share them out. I'm still nervous about uploading this considering how the osc can be at times, and ik i'll get hate for this, but I really just wanted to let others know how I feel and maybe even some people who agree with me on this.
THIS VIDEO IS NOT FOR KIDS!

I actually agree with you. I haven’t thought of that but how you explained it really adds up to what Inanimate Insanity is starting to become now. Thank you, really, for sharing you’re opinion on it :3

In my opinion, III would've been slightly less aggravating if II2 wasn't put on hold for III. Some III characters, such as Cabby, would be PERFECT for II2, or a season with the tone of late II2, but it was put on hold when you have 3 episodes left to finish II2, if the finale isn't two parts or something.

yeah I totally agree, the show feels like it's trying to be extremely kid friendly rather than being fun for all ages

Yeah, I'd have to agree with you here. When I was watching II season two and then saw Invitational, I was really confused. Putting the story on hold at such a climax to the final fours characters made me really off put. I tried watching Invitational, but it didn't feel like Inanimate Insanity to me. It felt like another object show, like it was going for some BFDI aura.

Hello, I went to the BFDI X II event, and (SPOILERS AHEAD FOR III 14) II 14, was DEFINETLEY appealing for all audiences. Everyone was absolutley shocked, and I think you'll like it if you like complex darker tones.

IDK but, you're right, sadly. A lot of characters from ii 1 or ii 2, did'nt be in this season, of course the characters like candle 're very cool, but, pickle, bomby, cherries, tissues, chessy, soap, trophy Why they did'nt make character arc to these characters? Really they've a lot for potential, and why paper and OJ them get eliminated so fast, only for a joke of "¡ahahhaha mephone you were denounced!", and ye, the fanservice, it's a lot, Why a popularity poll to choose the characters for the III?

There are a few points where i dont notice anything with the show, but many of the points, such as out of character and demonizing cabby, I do see. I feel like Yin Yang just became 2 children (earlier episodes yin yang was a lot better), Bot was treated more like a child by the contestants, and Cabby is getting unfair.. well everything.

Definitely feel you on the character aspect. I mean people forgot how much of a bastard fan was earlier on

Pretty soon, Experiment 21 is going to become canon

I completely agree with you! But I will say (without making this spoiler ridden) the new II3 episode is more dark. There are some very heavy connotations about a specific character (won’t say who) and honestly it was a nice breath of fresh air to see it go back to being serious. (Even tho I cried lmao)

I’m still on about this, but am I the only one who’s still slightly agitated Suitcase wasn’t mentioned even _once_ last episode, and only Baseball was mentioned? She played an even bigger role in both Balloon _and_ Nickel’s development and yet it’s like she’s no longer relevant.

This is hopefully on topic on characters feeling OOC

Edit: Well, it was brief, BUT SHE CAME BACK YAYYY!!!

Edit: Honestly, I take it back. Even the few times she has been mentioned, she’s being treated like she’s merely a side character in Nickel and Balloon’s development, and it’s infuriating after everything she went through.

I watched this video yesterday, and just now watched the newest episode today. Yesterday I disagreed with the majority of what you said here mostly because of my nostalgia for Inanimate Insanity, pretty much disregarding a lot of the criticism as I didn't want to change my opinion of or feelings on the show. Today after seeing episode 14 much of what you talked about came to mind and I think I've finally come to accept that not all of it is enjoyable or perfectly written.

The fanservice is very, very, *very* obvious. So much so that sometimes it feels like I'm looking at a fan creation rather than official content. I've noticed it a while ago but tried to just think of it as the crew wanting to explore the characters more and go in different directions with them. Unfortunately it's gotten so noticeable that some of the interactions and dialogue feel shoehorned in and there's been moments where I've quite literally thought "the OSC is going to go crazy over this" in the middle of an episode; not because it's something new or exciting, but because it's something that the fandom really wanted to happen.

I'm not completely sure of what to think or say about the other points in this video (Cabby's character, the change in tone, lack of creativity) but not being able to give constructive feedback that's negative in any way towards these shows is quite a long-running issue within the community. Part of it is some of the fans being young and not understanding that crisitising something isn't "hate", while the other part is people simply not wanting to hear anything outside of what they agree with. While I get that they just want to enjoy the show regardless of its flaws (something that I do for a lot of object shows as well) other fans should be able to express their dislike and critically analyze them without receiving backlash.

I still absolutely love II and all of its seasons even with the bits I dislike about it, that will probably never change. This video has made me start thinking about it with my "nostalgia goggles" off however, so my opinion isn't completely 100% positive as it was previously. Also, I think you did quite a nice job making this video!! Even the day before when I watched it, I still thought the talk sprites looked cute and the inclusion of the clips while you spoke helped get your points across. I definitely wouldn't mind watching another video formatted similarly to this one :)

i think for the part with cabby, the characters misunderstanding her makes it more realistic. not everyone is going to understand one another without some trial and error. a lot of characters learnt to accept her at the end too

Okay I like this and I agree with a lot of what you said but I saw the episode early yesterday and it’s out now and I think that will somewhat satisfy your want for somewhat darker content I think you’ll like it also abt cabby I think you’ll like the episode more idk if you will bc I’m not you but still I think you’ll like it

Honestly I agree with everything here. Not just II but most object shows nowadays are "carbon copies" as you put it. I'm really hoping non-competition shows start blowing up more because it's easier to create more ideas without a competition and you're pretty much limitless to what you can do!

Even with these points made…I don’t think every character feels out of character or bland most of the time. sure it would feel that way, but when I see the ii cast as a whole, it stills step ups to each and one of them individually. like Cabby as you described earlier, her redemption arc is one of the best storylines of the series not based of it’s relatability or how it’s written, but also how it impacts with the character of how much she’s evolved to what gotten her eliminated previously, to coming out on top in the end to be crowned victory.
Or Bot, who went from a Bow copy in a way to finding their own path to find themselves, and also had a fear of what Test tube or Fan would think of them changing their appearance entirely, and how extremely well written and developed Bot has become. (They’re pretty much my main favorite Object show character for a reason-).

So, even with that, this season is still a really entertaining ride to go through, and still better then season 1, lets be honest.

One thing I don’t like about iii is that I think it would of worked better using the characters that where eliminated early in season 2 instead of season 3 as I feel like this characters never really had time to shine especially characters like tissues and cherries also the fact that someone In the writing room must live yinyang cause they favorite them so hard

Finally! Someone agrees with me. Well has the same opinion as me but whatever, i personally think season 2 is the best season even though most people say "Well the first half was good but the second part was dark and awful" witch is just makes me so mad
