First time I heard this, I was in my dorm room at ETSU. Couldn’t get over it. Broke me away from pop music and I’ve been in free fall ever since. Still am, over half a century and now in the fourth quarter of my life. Music and lyrics mean more to me now at age 70 than they did when I was 18. Play this at my services when the time comes, because I’ll surely be rambling on.

Growing up my uncle had one rule. You cannot change the station if zeppelin’s playing! 35 years later this rule still applies

Made my dad a playlist of his favorite songs, and this song was playing as he took his final breath. Now it’s time for me to go. It’s time to ramble on.

Yes, this old granny grew up listening to the best music. Nobody could compare to the music of our time this generation that’s why they keep going back to the old music of the 60s and early 70s that music was real the lyrics the singer when he sang those lyrics, he really sang that’s why he sounded the same as recordings. We’re on stage, the composure of the music was the same that you heard on your albums and in concert is fantastic and it was new and exciting
I hope this generation enjoys all of these music of my generation

This song came to my mind one day when I finally realised it was time to quit my job.
I did it, and found a much better job, I am a lot happier now.Thank you Led Zeppelin and my Guardian Angels.❤❤❤

Haven't listened to this in like 50 years, used to turn up my mom's console stereo way up before my high school basketball games, one of the most underrated songs out there

This just proves that songs don't always have to be long depressing and sad in order to be amazing. This is my favourite HAPPY Led Zeppelin song, it's definitely the sort of song you can listen to in the car without getting depressed.

.strange, how I rediscovered this song! I was watching a tom Cruise sci Fi movie called OBLIVION and the song was quite impressively well placed in the movie. It brought back memories from the early 1970s when I lived in London . .

" Mine's a tale that can't be told, my freedom I hold dear" Those lyrics get me every time I listen to them. So poignant and brilliant.

"It's Time to Ramble On..."
"Got to find My Queen of All my Dreams."
Most Definitely!
"Been this way 10 years to the day.
Aw...Sometimes I grow so tired...
Mine's a tale that can't be told. My
Freedom I hold dear.
I gotta keep searching for my Baby."
