The final video of my TKO restoration series.

After talking with Liberty's Gears transmission shop, I get the info I needed to fix the shifter issue so that I can finally button up this gearbox. I fill you in and share some neat info. At least I think it was pretty neat.

This info may be way over and above he knowledge base of the casual viewer unless you have in depth knowledge of these transmissions. But if you like this sort of stuff, you might find it very interesting.

12:07 agreed. I've used Ford Ultra Grey from a caulk tube. I'm a Senior Master technician and that's the best sealant I've ever used from a manufacturer. The anaerobic gasket maker is to be used when mating machined surfaces. It works great like that, but when a unit has see multiple rebuilds and/or 3M roloc discs, the gap to seal is too wide.

Hey bud, nice tidy work. You've done this before. If you ever read this, I'm curious about something. What rpm are you shifting this when you're full tilt?

I'll watch some of your other videos about this transmission to get familiar with your build. This is a good video. I've worked on my 3550 for 24 years. Keep it up.

New to mechanics and trying to figure out why 3550 is stuck in gear. The middle shift rail does no move no matter what it’s stuck in fourth, could this be the reason why?
