Jay: drops screwdriver from 6 feet
Everyone: comments that Linus isn't 6 foot tall
DBrand: keeps calling Linus short
Linus: uses a lift to lift him up high just to prove he can drop things from above 6 feet.
I love it!

After decades of practice, linus finally utilizing his innate talent of dropping stuff.

This just means that Linus even on top of a scissor lift isn't as tall as Jay standing on his feet, and therefore the screwdriver has higher chance of survival.

I love how you broke every rule of using a lift in one fell swoop haha.
No harness, gate not shut, did not shut off before exiting, swung from the rung... sniff* just like how we all roll when safety isn't around hahaha

TBF The breakage that the screwdriver experienced from Jay dropping it was minor with a single bit holder bracket coming off. I sense that Jay will try to one up this since he has a warehouse in which there is often a scissor lift.
I love the (mostly) friendly back and forths between Tech YouTubers.

Sometimes hight matters much less than angle (as I've seen many times with my phone).

In my opinion, he praised the screwdriver...maybe even made me want to buy it...

Jay has an impressive talent for breaking things. I, too, have fully broken things that my husband says are Really difficult/impossible to break. It's an amazing talent lol.

This test was done with all of the bits installed. Which saved it I think. With all the retainer fingers equally supported, there's less force trying to break the fingers. I would say loaded like this is a fairly drop safe position.

I would have to go back to Jayz' video, but if I recall he did not have a full carousel, perhaps had one bit in the tool shaft. So my guess is he had a break because there was an empty slot, with an impact at the exact wrong angle. With a bit stored on one side putting the plastic under some small preload, and no bit on the other, a few G's impact force could possibly cause the bit's inertia to press into the unsupported finger enough to break.

If there were no bits loaded I bet it would be fine.
