LTT just launched their new screwdriver. Here's what it's up against.

Also make sure you subscribe to @ProjectFarm — he's sure to have an excellent technical comparison!

My YouTube world is collapsing on it self! If AvE shows up, I’ll be asking This Old Tony where the hell are you? Adrian! Take me to your basement!

“Will it make my PC go faster?”
Of course not, it has no RGB!

I couldn't imaging spending $70 on a screwdriver, never mind $150. But two thumbs up for collab with ProjectFarm.

I bought a $15 Craftsman ratcheting magnetic screwdriver about 22 years ago (they were Sears' in-house brand back then, I'm not sure who the manufacturer is), back when I was a computer tech. A back-of-the-envelope calculation suggests I've built or repaired around 800-1000 systems with it.
I'm not saying mine is superior to any currently on the market, just that it _far_ outperforms what I would ever expect from $15 (even back then) and never once have I felt it lacking in any way (I did have to re-lubricate it once), so I'm not about to spend $70+ on a new screwdriver today.
If I didn't have my trusty Craftsman, though, I'd be very seriously considering the LTT driver.

Thanks for comparing it against the PB Swiss Tools! I don't know why is it so expensive in the US, over here you can pickup one of for 55CHF. Hi from 🇨🇭

I did some quick shopping around last night on amazon (in the EU) after the LTT stream. I can get ratcheting screwdrivers at the 20-40€ price point from known brands like makita, inbus, wera, stanley, etc... I'm not saying those will necessarily be better, but the real question is if the LTT screwdriver is worth 2-4 times as much as competing brands.

Another important thing I hope is tested is the bit strength. I've had a few drivers that come with really malleable bits and it's the worst. I've got a Makita bit set that's been treating me nice though.

Amidst Linus forgetting that LTT is a company is not himself personally I welcome the scrutiny and testing of his products

Project Farm is the bee’s knees, but AvE has, unbeknownst to him, been my dad for the last 5 years.

Disappointed it doesn't mention ESD safe. Kinda weird for a screwdrive aimed at assembling electronics. I'll wait for the Project farm video. That's usually when people start feeling purchase regret

Oh, I thought "PB Swiss" meant a peanut butter and Swiss cheese sandwich...

I have the PB Swiss Tools PB 6510.R-100
It cost £69. If you want the box and additional bits the that kit costs more of course.

I am looking forward to your comparison as PB Swiss is the ratchet to beat in my experience. I also use Wera and Rolgear ratchet bit drivers.

I expect the PB Swiss magnets will be tough to beat but it looks like LTT have worked hard to make their Ratchet and they are very proud of it. I may get one myself but with shipping it is jolly expensive.

Thanks for doing this comparison

150 samolians for a driver? Did your wife lock you out of the knife drawer? You could buy two pi's for that.

Do we need to p!an an intervention? Priorities, man!

I’d instead get the PB Swiss screwdriver. I don’t trust the clowns at LTT. It seems that the fame has gotten to their heads. They are now all about milking their viewers for as much as possible. Thankfully we have channels like yours, Jeff, that support the viewers. Thanks for keeping it real even though you’re growing so fast. Please stay safe and take care of yourself, my friend.🥰🥰
