Youtube is the best podcasting platform and I'm way less likely to listen to one if it has no video. Watching people talk or looking at accompanying slides is way better than a pure audio experience

I love to have podcasts on in the background, but occasionally glancing over and seeing expressions is fun! Especially during a super funny part, i wanna see how everyones reacting! Then i go back to my tasks. Its just like seeing a friend!

23-year-old here! I especially like to “watch” podcasts while I cook and clean around the house. I’m mostly focused on what I’m doing, but I keep the laptop open, and I like looking at y’all’s facial expressions at certain key moments. :)

as a Gen Z’er, I’m mostly an audio guy while I work at my desktop; but about 1/3 of the time I like to have a video podcast playing off to the side on my laptop to occasionally glance over at when there’s an enticing moment in the conversation.

It definitely helps if you can see who's talking. Makes you more involved. I can follow the story and ultimately get interested in it if I see the storyteller.
If I'm doing something else while listening to EB I will miss pretty much everything. It turns into white noise mumbling after a while.

Actually as a gen z I draw while I listen but I put in on the visual version cause YouTube is easier to access in a short amount of time 🤷‍♀️

As a millennial, there are a lot of podcasts that I listen to... sometimes that show clips of things. I need to play the video version of a podcast just in case a clip plays and I need to see it to understand what the podcasters are talking about.

There are 2 instances where I watch the video version of podcasts (if I have the option): either I’m particularly interested in/a fan of the people on the episode/show, or the show isn’t really tailored for a listening only audience. Some shows aren’t intended to be podcasts but have audio only versions anyway, and some more casual podcasts are just bad about not utilizing visuals of their own or edited in ones.

I usually don’t listen to podcasts but when I do I like to watch them, it helps me process the information to have the visual element. If I just listen, I usually loose focus. Sometimes I exercise or eat or fold laundry or some other mindless activity.

I do my makeup, I do my nails, laying around. Idk seeing the podcasts gives more connection and engagement, especially because I watch really funny ones like “the bald and the beautiful” or “sloppy seconds”

As gen z what I do while watching/listening to a podcast. I usually listen while eating by myself or I listen while relaxing in my room. Something I put on a podcast while working outside or doing something outside.
