FIAT 500e: How to use the Uconnect app

Purchasing an electric car is smart. And, now Fiat 500e owners have more knowledge at their fingertips with the new Uconnect® app. The mobile app takes a bunch of great features and drops them into an elegant and customizable interface. Uconnect Access gives you one more thing to love about your electric car, and it’s right in the palm of your hand.

Let’s say you just hopped on a plane, but can’t remember if you locked the car doors. No problem. You can lock or unlock your doors from virtually anywhere in the world with a quick tap on the remote screen.

Too hot or too cold outside? You’ll find your Climate Comfort settings here, too.

But what if you don’t even know where your car is—say, after a concert or sporting event—and the parking lot puts you out of key fob range? Just tap the Horn & Lights icon. You and your car will be together again in no time.

You’ll love the convenience of having essential information on the Info tab.

How much charge is left? How far will that get you? Is your car still charging?

You’ll find all that—and more—in the Uconnect App. Plus, you decide what information you want to see first. Want quick access to your Tire Pressure stats? Just press and hold here, slide it to the top and then release!

Hey, check this out: if you live somewhere with variable utility rates, you can program your car to charge when rates are at their lowest.

There’s even a LOCATIONS tab, full of handy GPS features… like this one. It helps you locate the nearest charging location.

The FIAT 500e is only available in California and Oregon at select FIAT studios. The Uconnect Access app is operable only for 36 months beginning on the date of the retail sale of the 500e. At the end of the 36-month operability period, the such services will be deactivated and will become inoperable, and the services will be unavailable, The 36-month operability period cannot be extended, renewed or restarted under any circumstances.

Agreed with the person below.... Useless if it stops working only a few years into the car purchase. I would be happy to pay to keep the service.

36 months is a fu@#$% joke Fiat . This should be activated for free OR at least give us the option to pay for the service.

Agree with the prior comments - reinstate the service, even as a paid service, or remove this 500e specific video and the wording from the app description.

Has anyone actually found a way or alternative rout to monitor the charging status. I plug my car in parking logs that are not an easy access to head out and see the on dash indicators. Will be nice to know if there is a third part solution to this stupidity.

Fiat does not show it cares about its customers after purchase.. It is not working or available anymore.. Who would like to buy again a fiat or jeep etc. when you are not sure about remote functionality / software will remain available? I also don't mind paying..
