Hello STL ! antiX is a jewel on old hardware. I recommend it to any user who has limited specs and is not a noob.
For a newbie, if he has 2GB of RAM I would recommend MX which has XFCE as DE.
Watch the videos of the dolphin on antiX and you'll adore that distro !

A bit late to the party, but one thing you failed to mention is that antiX 32bit is capable of booting in EFI mode, so people with those nasty Intel tablets and cheapo things that come with a 64bit CPU and a 32bit EFI may be very interested in this.

KDE is often said to be the most customisable desktop environment and distros that use KDE are described as "suited for power users".
What about antiX and their IceWM? Isn't this more customisable than KDE?

Too bad the Bookmarks are full of communist propaganda. I have it on an old Acer Aspire One Netbook and it runs pretty good with 2g of ram and a wimpy CPU. It runs YouTube videos at higher res than I can with peppermint.
