It was the putting the Arcadia Bay memory box under the table that did it for me. Like that is LITERALLY a visual representation of what decknine has done with this whole thing. They took a beautiful game, with beautiful characters, beautiful arcs and so so much potential and what do they do? They push it all into a box and shove it under a table. Thanks very much decknine. The original life is strange continues to be the onle one I care about.

This is so tragicomic. Knowing that her mother and everyone else would die, Chloe said "I know you'll make the right decision no matter what you choose" and that she would always be by Max's side. Moreover, sending a stupid letter and never communicating with Max again and breaking up with Max like this is never something Chloe would do. Even if they were to break up, Chloe wouldn't be the one leaving, especially not like this. Chloe is not the type of character who can easily get over the people she cares about. It's incredibly ridiculous that they portray Chloe as if she were Rachel, as if she was very fond of her freedom. It's funny how sudden it's like "you're stuck in the past, so I'm going bye". Until now, the biggest person alive in the past has always been Chloe. How out of her own personality, all this doesn't fit her personality. Besides, what's with her flirting with Victoria 💀?? Is this Chloe :D I guess they decided to make Max's nightmare come true lol. They must have been kidding us when they said, "We respect both endings." Even though they are together again at the end of the game, they have already ruin their relationship. Actions and words that took place in the first game will no longer have the same meaning. But I refuse to take this game seriously, I will stick to the original creators' story. In my opinion, it was not a good idea to old iconic characters with a sequel game on a similar subject. They had character development throughout the LIS game, but now there is no trace of that character development. They choose to ignore character development and personalities. But since the whole game revolves around Max, I think the company is planning to draw the hatred (reaction) onto Chloe. Anyways don't expect me to comment positively on a company that turns a game where you explore characters, relationships and dynamics into a romance simulator.

I feel like this company doesn't respect the first game's two endings, they just created a new game with Max. Even her personality is different, you are forced to flirt with almost everyone in this game, it doesn't match her real personality, and they even made up a baseless excuse for her and Chloe to break up, even though they both made a oath that they would be together forever. I'm relieved I didn't buy this game, it's disrespectful to us fans.

The comics revealed multiple timelines and in my mind that's all this is, just one other timeline. Prefer the hints we got in the second game which hinted at a happy future for both of them.

Feels like breaking Pricefield up was a BS easy answer and completely shits on the fact in the end Max chose Chloe cuz she loved her. Seems just a lame excuse to introduce a new love interest into Max's life. Like why even bother saving Chloe if the canon to that ending defeats the purpose of choosing it.

I hope we get to see Chloe, because this feels like a big middle finger to anyone who picked the ending where we saved her. People picked that ending so they can be together, and that hopefully one day we get to see more of their adventures. Cutting Chloe out just feels cheap and stupid really. If you wanted to break them up, fine, at the very least let us see that or something, not just leave it as "oh it just happened". What was even the point of breaking them up? Just so we can have Max and her new whatever her name is be her new lover? It's so stupid, people were asking for Max and Chloe for years and they do this. So stupid. Might as well let her die then, like what is the difference? We won't see her anyways probably.

According to an ex dev, top management of Deck Nine hate the Bae ending and apparently one of the upper management guys hate the voice actress of Chloe because she made some criticisms about the other games.

Imagine spending two wholes games about showing how Chloe is a caring, lovely, loyal friend who never leaves others behind... and then writing THIS. THIS Chloe used a DAMN LETTER to break up with Max, and she is paranoid that Max would use her power AGAINST her, in order to keep her on her side forever? WHAT THE HELL?
