Fyi this is not punishable as long as you ONLY USE FOR PERSONAL USE. As in you make a digital back up to pit on usb to watch on tv or have a back up in case the disk gets damaged. Punishments happen when you start distributing backups for personal gain.

Hi I followed your guide, the video is nicely ripped without audio, I did as you said and let the audio set to 0, but no sound is with the movie, any idea what is needed?

I'm currently testing this out, I hope it works! I (hopefully) won't have to screen record DVDs anymore!
Edit: It failed. Perhaps I've done something wrong. I'll try again tomorrow.
Edit 2: Okay, turns out it did work, I just needed to give it a while to be able to watch it.

What do I do if it converts my DVD in a different language. I set the audio track to 0 and that did nothing.

EDIT: Found a solution. I stuck the MP4 in my video editing software (I use VSDC) and exported it as an MP4. That somehow made it into english. Don't ask me why that worked I'm just as confused as you are.

ANOTHER EDIT: Alright so after converting one of my DVDs (Halo Legends) it came up with the commentary playing so I thought I'd put it in my video editor but only the first 4 minutes of the film comes up in the editor. I also tried Back To The Future and it only converted the deleted scenes with commentary.

YET ANOTHER EDIT: I ended up using a different software called MakeMKV and it actually works. it even lets me convert all 8 Halo Legends shorts as seperate video files. I'm gonna try out some more DVD conversions with this thing but for now I definitely recommend it over VLC
