I remember watching this while trying to conceive and going through a rough IVF journey. Now I have my baby in my arms and pray for all women going through infertility to experience motherhood. That said, while pregnancy comes with its challenges, postpartum is a whole other ball game. Wow. Both physically and mentally. And no one talks about that 😢

My daughter's didn't grunt a lot but my newborn boy grunts a lot when stretching. I don't know about all of you but I love to grunt when I stretch lol

Yeah my daughter use to do that all the time around that age along with this slight screechy sound kind of like a car speeding off! It's cool though. It's kind of similar to sounds adults make when we stretch and/or yawn

So everyone finds this cute and say it’s totally normal but don’t bring any explanation. Let me enlighten you, it could be that they’re trying to pass gas (do bicycle legs and tummy massages to relieve them) or that they have acid reflux (get them to sleep at an incline, even against your chest in standing position if you’re wide awake). If the grunting is more intense or accompanied by cries, check with a GI doctor or pediatrician if your baby isn’t allergic to cows milk (CMPA). It happens very regularly to babies (take a fresh stool sample to the doctor in the morning) and you might have to cut dairy from your diet if breastfeeding or change formula if bottle feeding.

Yes it’s OK it’s just because of lack of sleep we all know babies need lots and lots of sleep and sometimes they don’t get as what they need no need to worry

I think it’s normal. But it can also indicate some discomfort maybe he’s trying to poop or his tummy hurt. If whenever he does that and you hear him passing gas at the same time then he’s doing it because of discomfort.

My son will grunt in his sleep, may be accompanied by a fart but he is getting good sleep. It just makes me worried because it sounds like he’s uncomfortable, but I’ve been told it’s normal.

Yes it's normal. Have to only break the Node
