We break down the best method's of setting up new keybinds for all players and how I as a healer set up my keybinds across mouse clicks and keyboard binds.

I played this game for all of BFA and SL being a clicker. I used to convince myself that it would be too hard to swap over after playing the game as a clicker for so long. My gameplay improved 10 fold when going to keybinds at the end of SL. It took me 2-4 weeks to get used to it. Now I’m a multi CE raider. It’s possible and 100% can propel you forward in the game if you put in the time and effort to get used to it. Good luck in Undermined everyone 😊

Tip: you can assign keyboard modifier buttons (alt, shift, ctrl etc.) to the side buttons of your mouse. This will save you from hand cramps on the long run.

I like to rebind my Caps Lock to function as Left-Alt and use that as a modifier for all of my regular buttons, as well.

Great video, bar organization and keybinds are one of those topics where it feels like not a lot of modern content creators talk about it much, I remember it being a big thing you'd see lots of videos on back in the day but not so much now. It's fun when I'm playing with new players and I see their binds are 1-0 and they have abilities all over the place. I always try to teach new players good binds and the importance of bar organization.

In my case, what has worked the most for me is to move my entire keyboard one key to the right, I don't use (awsd) but instead I use (sedf) this gives me more additional keys on my left side like a, w, q, and z. I found it very efficient for classes with a large number of spells.

I think shift+space or ctrl+space are great bingings to use in combat as well because they do not require you to lift the 3 main fingers that you use for movement.

Not a new concept for a video by any means, but it's good to have new videos about this anyway because new addons come along now and then to provide new options.
I feel like an important option to present especially for healer players that was glossed over way too quickly in this video and ties into it way too much for that is macros. You briefly mentioned mouseover macros, but something that can save like 6-8 keybinds per healer is help/harm macros, where you can cast a heal on an ally or an attack on an enemy with the same key.

Basic help/harm macro that will cast Wrath if targeting an enemy, or Regrowth if targeting an ally (or no one) :
/use [harm, nodead] Wrath; Regrowth

More complicated help/harm mouseover macro that will cast with priority on mouseover > target > self :

I like to use Q and E as my strafe and rest my hand on 1-4. I use Thumb for alt. i can then reach down for F, T, G, C, X, A, and D, then reach up for F1-F4 easily. (large hands, smaller hands might not reach the C, X, Z as easily. I also use the "~" (Tilde) with my pinky. I do have a Naga (mmo mouse) though which I utilized 6 physical buttons, with and without Alt modifier for an extra 12 binds on the right hand. When I heal, I also use click casting through the "Cell" addon. Wonderful addition to the game when I discovered through Jaks video a while back.

Ultimate keyboard is the one you are used to and used for a while. :D I could start using a keyboard from early 2000s if it was new, love them. But these newer ones are goated for sure.

Love this jack. I have a mouse that has a few additional buttons (not mmo) but I heal only through my mouse and any other buttons are movement, defensive or offensive. Shift 3 is kick on every single character and major defensive is shift 4 and major movement is f for ease when playing alts

A fellow Wooting enjoyer! I've used the wooting utility to rebind capslock to another key like 'F13' so I can use it as a normal keybind without accidentally shouting at people in chat 😂

i usually use MOUSE SCROLL DOWN for things I use the most so I just spam scroll down while I move.
1, 2, 3, 4,
Q is a stun usually
R is a lower BURST
SHIFT+R is the BIG BURST....

so on. yeah this is really a good guide here :)

great video. I also use Cell and OPIE. I have a Corsair Simitar which 12 on the side. I also have removed the DPI functions from the buttons below left and right click for other key binds. Buttons next to my WASD are thinks like ping / lust and potion buttons. most of my heals are bound to the F buttons which are also on my mouse and utility like totems are on shift or alt functions. I use similar binds for my healers like aoe heal on same or interrupt cast. What would mess me up is changing to many of these. At least right away. We all have a method to our madness when setting these up. 🤣

I use mostly utility spells on 1-5 I prefer F as my main nuke and Q, E, R, C, Shift+R, Shift+F and Shift+D as my other offensive spells. Usually V is something like Fade. Middle mouse and Shift+Middle Mouse are interupts.
