Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS) is one of the main causes of Histamine Intolerance (HIT).

However, many people get confused as to what the difference is.

Listen to me break it down.

I had covid 3/2020 Super sick, never recovered fully. Tried antihistamines, felt about 60% better, a welcome relief, but still bed to couch mostly.
After researching MCAS and realizing that I have had this for decades, I begged my PCP for cromolyn sodium liquid. He wrote a Rx for me! Yesterday was my first 'drink' of it. I felt so good I could almost not handle it! Woke up the next day kind of blah, had my 2nd drink and felt a bit better. I can notice my body changing, and it's for the better. The directions say to drink it 4 x day, but I am only doing 1 x until I see how I react to it.
I can only hope and pray that this works. I am at wit's end with feeling like I am dying everyday for over 2 1/2 years.
Thank you for posting this video.

At first we thought it was HIT but my reactions have just grown to so many things, including heat, hot water, adrenaline rushes, stress, and the fact that my niece has mastocytosis, my mother had anaphylactic food allergies and I have food and environmental allergies...my doctor and I are sure it’s MCAS.

Exercise is what causes hives and fainting for me. Even just sweeping the floor. I’m also allergic to plants. Some more than others.

This was really helpful. My histamine intolerance started when my body started dumping oxalates.

My daughter is 11 months old and we are exploring both. Definitely histamine tolerance.. can’t have any high histamine foods or breaks out in hives and vomits. Excited to get your book but wondering if it will be worth it since my daughter is allergic/ reacts to a lot of foods

I'm like a lot of people who had very mild covid and it turned into long covid. Used to be very active and now just a shell, i take H2 and H1, avoid histamine foods but now it's becoming like the onset of fibromyalgia / CFS / POTS . I'm starting vit C infusions with a natural path because she thinks i may have candida as well... this is a nightmare. No antivirals available, no monoclonal antibodies for long covid symptoms available, etc, i just want to be able to exercise again, and without repercussions.

Are you ever able to do any exercise? If so which ones? I feel really really bad anytime I try to exercise. I have not been diagnosed yet but I have every single symptom of mcas after coming off of klonopin a over three years ago and I’m miserable .

Thank you for your videos - the information is invaluable to so many. I will be purchasing your book to learn more. Have you heard of Dr. Doris Rapp? I have her books on the elimination diet ... not sure she is still practicing anymore.

Hi Dr. Becky,

So grateful to have found your channel! So much good info to take in here!

I'm wondering where greens/veggie/berry powders fall on the histamine level spectrum? I have been using these types of powders to up my intake of these healthy foods for years & really appreciate the quick & easy nature of this intake but, now I'm wondering if this habit is one I need to change in order to feel better?

Would so appreciate hearing your thoughts on this if you get the chance!

Thank you for all you share*

Wishing you & all the utmost!✨🧡✨

Caught Covid in March 2022. Few weeks after I started to react to foods. High histamine types..

Symptoms;
Itchy/burn tongue or mouth
Itchy nose
Sneezing
Small hives
Heart palpitations

I do have a host of other symptoms including “fibromyalgia like” pain and nerve, burning, vibrations all since I caught Covid.

Is this histamine intolerance OR MCAS? I’m scared to eat.

where do I start to heal my gut to see if it’s histamine intolerance?
- can I recover from HIT?

I’m down to around ten foods I can eat. Lost a lot of weight. Now dangerously underweight.

I am struggling to take medications as I am getting side effects or allergic reactions. Inc antihistamines.

I have just started a probiotic histamine x every other day to see if that helps my gut.

I’m trying my best with a low historical diet although I do eat wheat, gluten and dairy.
I am struggling with this very restricted diet.

Appreciate your help advise
Tia x
