This version is really magnificent. I can’t stop listening to it. Turn it on again and again.

Haunting to describe this version is an understatement. This version is so moving and magical. Absolutely love it. ❤

If you read The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes then you will know the story behind this song. Because it explains it so clear.

Are you, are you
Coming to the tree
Where they strung up a man
They say who murdered three.
Strange things did happen here
No stranger would it be
If we met at midnight
In the hanging tree.

Are you, are you
Coming to the tree
Where the dead man called out
For his love to flee.
Strange things did happen here
No stranger would it be
If we met at midnight
In the hanging tree.

Are you, are you
Coming to the tree
Where I told you to run,
So we'd both be free.
Strange things did happen here
No stranger would it be
If we met at midnight
In the hanging tree.

Are you, are you
Coming to the tree
Wear a necklace of hope,
Side by side with me.
Strange things did happen here
No stranger would it be
If we met at midnight
In the hanging tree.

Are you, are you
Coming to the tree
Where I told you to run,
So we'd both be free.
Strange things did happen here
No stranger would it be
If we met at midnight
In the hanging tree.

Are you, are you
Coming to the tree
Where they strung up a man
They say who murdered three.
Strange things did happen here
No stranger would it be
If we met at midnight
In the hanging tree.

Are you, are you
Coming to the tree
Where the dead man called out
For his love to flee.
Strange things did happen here
No stranger would it be
If we met at midnight
In the hanging tree.

Thank you for sharing this awesome performance. I don´t know if it is intentionalall, but these pictures are very close to the movie. For example - the security near by the singers. A symbol for the danger showing the Mockingjay.

Should be in the movies... beautiful voices!

The good quality of her voice messes with the rough triumph of the song. I like the movie version better because it's more raw.
