WHO KNEW that the world's most expensive city for expats and tourists is Luanda, Angola?!

That's right -- it's not New York or London or Singapore or Dubai.... Not even close. It's Luanda Angola --, and if you don't believe me, you can ask BBC News, CNN and The Guardian.

I am not kidding you that I just saw a 13'' Macbook Pro listed at $4,200 at an electronics store Luanda -- I just bought the exact same computer in Arizona for less than half that price!

After spending the last 3 days in Luanda,, I've been surprised in many ways... but none more than the outrageous prices. You can learn all about it in this video.

Just curious -- Did anyone about this before watching this video? Or is this totally news to you?

Hello Drew! My parents are Angolan so we flew there for the first time last summer. Even though it is a little bit of poverty, Angola is a beatiful country and the people there are so kind and respectful. Just a little quick thing in 2:54 you see you popcorn looking things and let me tell you this. Those are so good

2:37 he identify the problem with most African nations. The problem is that not that they can't produce, it is that when one black African tries to produce, the others pull him down. This is a huge problem unlike in western countries where everyone sees that as a development for all and generations to come.

Hello from Luanda! 😁
Well yeah the prices are crazy but idk i still prefer living here than in Europe (using it as an example bc i went to some countries) bc of the humanity you see in the majority. The kindness to help strangers and be polite. And the elders are truly respected cause they are our source of wisdom and the center of the family.
The money fact can be a struggle but theres always a little business you can do or a family member to help you out

I love my country, with his ups and downs... it will get better :)

I’m Angolan and never realized how crazy our prices were until I lived abroad for a while and found myself gasping for air every time I heard a price for basic things like milk or bread 😅😅😅

Still, I love my country 🇦🇴🇦🇴🇦🇴💪🏾💪🏾

At 2$ at day you would have to save every penny for close to 14 years to buy that tv, and 12, 328 years for the apartment to put it in

Hey, I'm Angolan and want to clarify something. The mister in 1:01 probabaly misunderstood you because it seems like he doesn't speak english and sculptures like this may cust 2000 or 5000 KWANZAS. In depends on the size or the material from which it was made. Never in a million years it'll cost two thousand dollars.
