Far Cry 6 is arguably the biggest release of 2021. And I’m not just talking about the hype. The game itself is massive, and as such, it can be a bit overwhelming. Whether you want to cruise through the story, or explore all the side content, I’ve discovered a few tips in my first week with the game that I think will help you get the most out of your experience. With that, I want to offer a sincere thanks to Ubisoft for providing a pre-release copy of the game. Now, if you’re jumping in for the first time, or you’ve been playing for a while and want a few helpful pointers, I hope you’ll join me as I share 14 essential tips to help you get the most out of Far Cry 6.

Before we begin, here’s a fun fact. Of all of my viewers, only around 4% are actually subscribed to my channel. That means that the next time I post a video just like this, 96 percent of my viewers won’t get notified. So if you do enjoy this video and you want to watch others just like it, like the video I plan to make covering stealth tips in Far Cry 6, consider subscribing. Or heck, even share it with a friend. Or, if you think this video is, you know, total crap, let me know in the comments. And with that, let’s get into it.

Use your Supremo backpack can take out helicopters
When I encountered my first enemy helicopter in Far Cry 6, I asked myself, how the hell am I supposed to deal with this? Well, I was able to deal some incremental damage with my basic weapons, but it wasn’t until it occured to me that maybe I could use the heat seeking rockets from my Exterminador supremo backpack. Anyhow, needless to say it worked like a charm. By the way, I’m pretty sure if you have a sniper rifle equipped with Blast Rounds, which can penetrate bulletproof windshields, you can snipe the pilot straight out of the sky. That said, the easy way is definitely to just take a knee and let your Supremo rip.

Fast track past the opening area
Now this isn’t necessary, but hear me out. In a lot of open world games, it can be tempting to spend a lot of time in the opening area learning the game’s mechanics and just getting a general feel for things. And you might be tempted to do just that in Far Cry 6. The game drops you off on an isolated island, and if you want, you can spend a good 4 or 5 hours here exploring everything. But I’d recommend breezing through the story segments here, then making a B-line for the main island of Yara because it’s not until you get off this smaller island that you’re introduced to the majority of the game’s content, and other features. These include your Supremo backpacks, Supremo weapons, tons of side activities, and most impactful, Guerrilla Camps, which you can upgrade to unlock even more side activities and some major gameplay perks. So, what are those gameplay perks? Well there’s more than I can cover in this video, but I do want to talk about three Guerilla Camp upgrades that I recommend unlocking first.

Hey everyone! I'm aware that the colors in this video are a little washed out. Nothing too bad, but it's noticeable. Please know this was due to an issue with my capture setup, not the game itself. The game looked far more vibrant on my TV. In fact, I think this game is beautiful. I'm going to attempt to fix this for future videos but for now, thanks for watching! ☺️

TIP: Go into the color settings and change the ''pickups'' color to the bright pink/purple color. You'll never miss a pickup again, and you can see them from a mile away.

Best tip, complete the starting prologue island, scan and capture all the vehicles and search all the creates. The gear you get there is op when you are inside a tank and destroy all the military vehicles coming for you. It repairs and loots further away. Thus collecting vehicle scraps and turret/bumper upgrades for your customised vehicle

Armor piercing rounds are king. Soft target rounds are kind of pointless because armor piercing rounds are just so good.

6 is like 3 and 5 combined. The atmosphere of 3 (kind of) and the scale (only bigger) and game play of 5. Great game for fans of the series.

As part of the helicopter tip, there is a kind of hover craft in the game which can fly as well as land on water. It's absolutely amazing and takes up even less space to land, one of the most versatile vehicles in the game. You can find it near outpost once you unlock them through the camp upgrade just pull out your camera and your set

Picked this up on sale, as i recently bought a new gaming rig. Was playing for quite a while, thinking the starter area was the entire map. What a surprice i got when i zoomed out the map. Such a massive game. Having a ton of fun with this one. Havent played a Far Cry since FarCry 3, and not played a shooter on a PC for about 10 years or so. Safe to say, im having a blast.

I've always went stealthy when I can in Far Cry games, and I'll still do that sometimes in 6, but I think I’m mainly going full Rambo and see how I like that. I found myself getting bored sneaking around everywhere in past games.

TIP: When you have the camp network unlocked, fast travel to all of them many times, and you'll see one NPC with an exclamation mark most of the times in each camp. Super quick way to unlock tons of locations and activities. I don't remember if the daily chest is something you have to unlock, but if you have access to it, make sure to grab it in each camp. You'll get tons of resources just from this.

Btw, thanks for a great video :)

Good video. I don’t get what other people are complaining about, the game is so much fun and way better than 5 in my opinion

Something i figured out WAY too late is that if you want to be an absolute beast in far cry 6, go for speed enhancing gear, a shotgun with birdshot, and the prisoners scarf. im currently using these and it is such a beastly gear set with some of the revolutionary gear. i use an m133 shotgun with suppressor and birdshot with the prisoners scarf and you can easily take out any enemy quickly with absolute ease

Definitely a fan of the setting in this one. I found 5's map to be pretty boring and New Dawn was the same map but pink. Excited to get my hands on this, I feel like I'm gonna put a lot of time into it

I'm late to the party i know, but when you start a new game, on the starting island there is a base (northeast of the island) you can take over that has a vehicle pick up point. On the western part of the island there is a large restricted area, with a tunnel leading into it. at the center of that erea there is a spawn location for a military tank. It is just parked next to the road with nobody in it.
If you get a car and dash through the tunnel, then stay off the road, you can avoid most guards and vehicles there. Get in the tank, and blast your way back towards the tunnel. It is pretty much bulletproof so the guards will have a very hard time stopping you as long as you keep it moving. Drive it to the base on the northeast and park it in the vehicle pickup and there you go! now you can always call for an armoured tank very early on in the campaign!

Also, sometimes the road close to that base spawns a few soldiers that are repairing a military vehicle on the side of the road. Just jump in and drive to the pickup point. You can grab some nice vehicles this way, some may have mounted guns, although it is a bit random.

This is VERY helpful. Here at work, 7:30 AM. Some of these opened my eyes better than ☕
Thanks! I played 3-5, New Dawn & Blood Dragon, but this hasn't grabbed me yet. After this vid, I will get more into it.
