John Crawford worked the ramp, the dock, in the cargo office, and in medevac dispatch as he got his licences. He has since flown floats and wheels commercially in 4 provinces and has also been a Chief Pilot, Operations Manager and PRM. He has most recently flown the DHC-2 Beaver for a local carrier and has also flown C-180, C-185 on amphibs and floats.

Originally from Langley, Gordon Cull started his aviation career as a fueler at YVR. He went on to fly a PA-31 Navajo, Beech 99, Lear 35 & 55 and the 747. He is currently a 777 Captain for a major carrier and was recently a 777 training Captain.

Between the 2 of us, we have floats, bush flying, cargo, medevac and airline operations covered.

He made it look so stupidly simple that I've been using it since, in my writing, social media and even presentations.

I've seen a lot of people talk about AIDA but he never fails to break it down without over complicating it.

Plus, his email newsletter always cracks me up. It's always a fun and lighthearted read.

One of the best things I've heard on marketing. Great points. Easy to follow. Quickly create compelling copy. Suggestion based on #4. A short to the point video is more effective than watching almost 17 minutes. 2 versions- short version and if there's interest in more detail- the long version. I could read the high points in less than 60 seconds but instead I had to watch 16:47.

Absolutely loved point #4 — specifically Neville's point about 'leaning back' and pretending he's a disinterested caveman. Such a great tip! The legendary UX designer Jared Spool calls it "hunkering"; I highly recommend reading his article, 'Putting Disorientation into the Design Process', for more as to WHY this works so well.

I hate writing, yet it’s one of the key things that has driven my LinkedIn success. It’s hard for me but have found hacks around it. I hire kickbutt folx who know more than me. I wish I could bring them on for more hours but am using Jason Frieds advice on hiring when it hurts. But have pushed hard to learn everything about writing on my own. That drive has kept me going and growing.
