Had a Switch since 2017, never owned a pro controller, and actually exclusively play with the grip whenever I’m not forced to play with the single Joycon! I love that lil guy and the simplicity of it. It reminds me of the 2DS (which was also hated on, so I guess I like to root for Nintendo’s underdogs haha)

Joycon need a grip or its not a hybrid console unless they bundle in a pro controller in the console..

I only started using the grip when I got really into Fortnite in 2020. Before then, I didn’t use the grip at all and just held my joy cons like a psychopath.

I think it's just a short little teaser like the hardware trailer from the switch 1. They'll show just the hardware for abaout a minute and that's it.
I WISH it would be a 15 to 30 minute direct where they show and explain the console.

I play with the grip every time my Joycon leave the console with 1 very recent minor exception and that is the Rhythm Kitchen in Super Mario Party Jamboree.

Bro not including a grip wouldn’t make sense 😂 That makes it immediately less of a hybrid out of the box because then you would have to play with them split or buy a pro controller, and playing with split joy on is significantly less comfortable than you would think

Some thoughts: the closest thing to Skyrim would be Elden Ring. If there's mouse functionality there'll be some strategy game to show that off. Will there be a way for the pro controller to have mouse functionality? Folding outwards in half to a mouse shape, revealing a mouse laser on the inside perhaps? I think they will show a switch 1 in the reveal, possibly someone playing a multiplayer game on switch 2 against someone on a 1. Then they'll take the cartridge out of the switch 1, put it in a switch 2 to show backwards compatibility, cue shot to their face going "wow" as they marvel at the upgraded graphics and stuff. They HAVE to show new features and surprises in the trailer otherwise it's pointless
