Welcome back to Next-Gen Console Watch! This week NVC's Brian Altano is joined by Beyond's Max Scoville and Unlocked's Ryan McCaffrey as they discuss the deluge of Nintendo Switch 2 leaks. The rumored hybrid console has seen its alleged motherboard, kickstand, and Joycon controllers leak in recent weeks, and accessory maker Genki even showed off a mock-up at their CES 2025 booth (which they later walked back). Remembering that story of the airport employee seeing this hypothetical prototype Switch 2 dev kit and describing a controller that has "a scrolling wheel like a computer mouse" and now these leaked joycon with a Lazer that's the same as under a mouse; I am fairly certain that the gimmick is indeed mouse support and that the "C" button is most certainly for "cursor"

I believe the "c" button is a cast button to use the switch 2 as a controller for the dock like the wiiu..

It's odd that two of the hosts are unaware that the Switch 2 moniker is all but confirmed. All leaked info has called the new console Switch 2. Latest rumor has it launching in April but maybe it's later than that?

I would love to see AR with glasses that could project separate data from the game/reticles, …AND connecting old Switch 1 for main menu options/inventory-like what we had with DS and 3DS but optional which would be great QOL improvement. Imagine Metroid Prime 4 where the UI of Samus’Visor is in the glasses/or have thermal vision, many gameplay elements could be also be implemented to eye tracking-for item selection, and more, plus no VR sickness. I wish Nintendo made 3D somehow fun like what we had with the 3DS(which is old) but Ocarina felt amazing in 3D. Also imagine that the glasses could project peripheral tint like effect, so the TV/Screen would feel more like just looking through the visor without the TV environment being dominant in the view field. So many options!

It would be the craziest thing if the second USB C cable connected to other switches so that you can do like a remote LAN setup or even to an older switch so that you have two screens.

I will never forgive the internet for saying the ps vita was too big and wouldn't fit in ur pocket.its the best handheld ever. Then the switch came out and people are saying wow it still fits in ur pocket!
