Honestly this is what was missing when Nintendo first released the Switch. All the cool and fun little gimmicks that make Nintendo consoles stand out, the Miis being a very big part of creation and personalization, bringing back old UI from the Wii U and 3DS but more modern along with menu music, and now Vidmiio being a whole Miiverse replacement. There is so much going into the Switch 2 that I can't wait to see when it fully releases. And speaking of Vidmiio I can't wait to see how it works and join communities again like in Miiverse which I'm hoping it's like.

If this is true (which sounds legit considering Apple is doing the same icon customization), it sounds like Nintendo is finally listening to the fan feedback. They’re adding back the personality and soul of the Wii U/3DS era and modernizing it, which is what people have been wanting since the Switch came out. I’m really excited to see this
