I head to Makati Avenue and walk over the bridge on the other side of the river, getting lost in the city of Mandaluyong, making friends and partying with local Filipinos outside Manila's tourist zones in the Philippines.

My Dad was stationed in the jungle during WWII for 3 years before the general returns as a radioman. He didn’t talk much about the experience, but did talk about the fierce Pinoys and making tuba. Tuba is basically a wine that is made in 24 hrs and if it isn’t drank that day would be used as vinegar the next.
