Humpback whales are baleen whales and are one of the least picky whales you will meet.
They filter their food through baleen plates, which is like a thick broom bristle and grow kinda like an inverse mustache from the upper jaw.
When they open their mouth they can take in up to 5,000 gallons of water and thousands of bait fish. They then force the water out the baleen which acts like a pasta strainer letting water out and trapping the fish in their mouth. After the water is out they use their tongue to squish all the fish into a delicious fish smoothy and gulp it on down. Yum!
