Fun fact(s): Aladdin isn't actually a part of the original "1001 Nights" text despite being heavily associated with it. In 1710 it was added to the work by the Frenchman Antoine Galland, based on a folk tale that he heard from the Syrian Maronite storyteller Hanna Diyab. I believe the original takes place in China in fictional Arab/Islamic communities which have actually been in China for a very long time.

It's so weird to hear it being said a "1001 nights" since in Arabic it's said "Alf Leila w Leila" which is more like "a thousand nights and a night" it just sounds very romantic in Arabic yk just a fun fact
