Neuralgia is nothing but an intermittent pain in the channel of the nerve that supplies the particular structures in the body. However radiating pain can be an indication of other diseases. It can be because of severe infection in your tooth which can radiate to your ears or head or your forehead or your jaws and neck which can reflect as pain. There can also be conditions like trigeminal neuralgia where you have sudden onset of pain, which is sharp and sudden pain in patients suffering from trigeminal neuralgia. Generally these kind of neuralgias are seen in mid age or in later stages in life. It is not seen in young adults commonly. However radiating pain can be because of infection or because of some kind of disorder, it is always better your doctor diagnoses this disease before coming into conclusion.
