Did The CIA Create Bitcoin?

In this video, I discuss various issues surrounding whether the CIA created Bitcoin.

The Japanese meanings of the words "Nakamoto" and "Satoshi" can be manipulated to mean "central intelligence," but this seems to me to be a case of the human brain finding patterns where there are none.

Other evidence against this theory includes Satoshi's reaction to Gavin Andresen visiting the CIA.

Still worried that some government agency created Bitcoin? Consider these 4 points:

1) Bitcoin's software code is open-source and viewable by anyone, so we would be able to see if there were any backdoors. Bitcoin's code has more eyes on it than probably any other piece of software in the world.

2) It ultimately doesn't matter who invented Bitcoin, just like it doesn't matter who invented the wheel-- these inventions no longer require the inventor in order to work well.

3) Once you understand how Bitcoin works, you will see that there is no way for the CIA to control it.

4) Bitcoin has been designed to pump forever and to destroy fiat money, thanks to its robust, decentralized nature and scarce supply. So if the CIA invented it, they have inadvertently created an asset that is destined to destroy how the US government funds itself (US dollars as the global reserve currency and US Treasuries as the global reserve asset)

Ultimately, you're going to have to decide for yourself what you believe about this subject. But here's probably the worst decision that you could make:

"I think the CIA/ NSA/ DIA/ FBI invented Bitcoin so I'm going to keep using central banker US dollars and keeping my money in US banks instead."

Not investment advice! Consult a financial advisor.

Tucker Carlson says that the CIA invented Bitcoin:

The creator is a mystery. That in itself is suspicious

I think the government would love nothing more then people believing they control BTC.

Please address Edward Snowden’s talk at the Bitcoin conference. He said that without privacy at the base-layer, Bitcoin is doomed. I completely disagree, but would love to hear what you think.

The significance of whether the CIA (or any other govt agency) created BTC is their reason for so doing.

If they created it, it was to entice people to use a traceable digital currency and remove cash from society. Everything has been moving in that direction, and the govt has a strong incentive for this to occur, as it enables them to surveil all transactions and control the populace.

The US currently holds roughly 207, 000 bitcoin, which the BITCOIN Act mandates be transferred to the Treasury and held as part of the strategic reserve.

But technically, unless you 100 percent know who did create Bitcoin, you can’t rule out the CIA. Improbable is not impossible.

The government convienently rolled out Bitcoin right after the 2008 financial collapse. The old fiat system has to go down to make way for the new digital system. The 4th Industrial Revolution is around the corner and bitcoin is needed.

The US government also invented TOR, Satoshi likely came up with his name to troll because eventually someone would connect the name to the CIA and he would be laughing at them from behind his computer screen.

And just like with Tor it doesn't really matter that the US did it, it is more useful as an asset to them than it would be if it was compromised.

The NSA wrote a white paper back in 1996, their author in that paper is awfully similar to Satoshi nakomato in that paper. So i would not be surprised if the government created bitcoin, and hide the truth in plain sight. What a perfect way to keep tabs on money and open source wallet addresses.

There could have been a faction of CIA that realized that after 9/11, the America that they knew was gone. This faction could have really loved America and believed in freedom and sovereignty. This could have led them down a road to create Bitcoin, knowing that it would weaken the dollars power, thus making libertarian thinkers and Austrian economists the most powerful and influential people in the world. If people like MK are the target audience for Bitcoin, maybe the idea of Bitcoin is a litmus test for intelligence. Closed-minded and greedy people will reject it and the smart freedom loving people will HODL it. Just a thought.
