I hospice foster senior dogs. I have for severe years. All of these are very prominent, some more so than others. Please consider fostering a dumped senior dog.

Our 16 yo geriatric dog is exhibiting all these signs, but still eats (like an elderly person waiting to be fed in the evening, and adamantly directing the caregiver to 'give me my dinner!'). He's definitely not the same dog at all by any means, and it's just been quite sad witnessing his rapid degradation over the past 2 years. We'll be upset over him passing, but it many ways he's already been gone for a long time. It's almost like it's just his walking vessel is all that remains. Sometimes he'll almost jog down the hill or almost jog for food, but that's it. Today, we've noticed that he suddenly smells extremely bad, and not from a mess or from bad breath. We've been very patient with him, but I think it's just about time.

My dog ate very well no weight loss but he had to be put down due to cancer we didn't have a clue we had him scanned the week before only due to breathing heavier than normal showed nothing he was put on heart tablets, the only way I noticed was he collapsed and got back up I took him straight to 24 hour vet as it was 12am and that's when we found out beautiful boxer dog had spleen cancer and it was rupturing and would be extremely painful for him before I left for the vets he done his business in garden and went in kids play house to lay that's when I knew he was dying
