While I do admire knowledge acquired to do such an thing, and knowing many people which wanted t create their own game in OpenGL/Vulcan/w\e I am really sorry to say - it's waste of time. If you want to create game engine/game and learn how it works from bottom-up, then go for it, no better way to learn something. If you just want to create game, don't bother. This knowledge will not be useful EVER. Even when you work in it (minor brag - I seniored in c++ couple months ago) you will mostly be asked to do things in ready frameworks to save time :).

EDIT: It's information for people which are looking to get into game dev, not for people like dnqr., which obviously has this knowledge already :p
