Always nice to see a shoe-box full of records. When I was a teenager, I had my LP's 'shelved' in a shoe-rack given to me by my mother.

Fascinating stuff, especially the Beatles related items. That Lou Reed set is very similar to the Ramones sets coming out....where you get vinyl, CDs and a book etc. Nice! Cheers Matt

I have the Lou Reed New York Box set. It has always been one of my favorite LR albums and was long overdue for a box set reissue

That's my favorite Lou Reed album although "Set the Twilight Reeling" and "Ecstasy" are excellent too.

Good idea on the shoebox John, I've got a pile of 7" records that I need to sort out and a few shoe boxes lying around. I'll see if they fit. 'New York' is very good but my favourite album by Lou Reed has to be 'Berlin' it's a harrowing story but a compelling one. One of the best albums ever in my opinion.

Wish they would give Lou’s Berlin that treatment/ I have the original LP bought in the day and a couple of the Berlin CDs but always longed for a update remaster and would enjoy a remix considering the muddiness of the sound and its many stellar musicians -indeed it fits well since it is bittersweet and depressing concept album but imo it remains his solo masterpiece -

Ive watched many of your quality videos on various folk before, but haven't seen much VU/Lou stuff, so im curious as to know how much of a fan you are? The reason I ask I is that ive got a question that no Lou fan has ever been able to answer, and you good sir, certainly knows your stuff...
