I just bought this camera after a year of wishy-washyness. I don't regret it at all. I think I am going to save up for an FX3 as my A cam and make this my B Cam. Currently I use BMPCC but I hate using them for B roll on interviews. So my plan is to continue using them for 2 camera interviews, and pop out the FX3 for b-roll.

Great video! Regarding the banding. Doesn't the Anti Flicker Set. solve the issue?

Im currently researching FX30s to get away from only using GoPros on my channel. This seems like such a seriously versatile tool. Great break down of the abilities. I like the idea of single frame shot capture challenge. At least you can see if you got the shot quickly on the screen. This statement is going to make me feel old, 35mm you had to wait for the film to develop to know for sure if you got that moment just right. Cheers

That banding problem needs to be the headline — if you can’t take indoor photos because of banding, doesn’t that mean it’s not really for photography?

Most apc lenses also have OSS, which appears a bit smoother than IBIS.

Well, I own camera that shoots 20 frames a second, still, i have it set up for Single Shot takes. Never utilized that option.

my problem with fx30 for still is the image that you see on lcd monitor is not what tha output you need to get a sample shot then adjust

Great video. Question. Does "grabbing a still" from a clip count the same as taking a still shot in proper mode? Can I get good clarity that way? (using 1:50 Frame Rate)
