Frontier Base Decor DLC = HUGE Storage Buff with New Barrels in Rust!

The new vertical and horizontal storage barrels are going to change up the Rust storage meta. With new sizing, they allow several very high capacity loot rooms that will immediately become the new standard. They do cost a little bit more, and can't be locked, but the loot room improvement is hard to say no to. Without any skins to them they're most valuable in places with obvious organization or where no organization is needed at all such as drop boxes. So there are some sacrifices to be made for the extra storage but it's worth it in many situations.

barrels are really op with caves as they can be placed right through the cave walls unlike boxes

WHAT why to build a bigger base than a 1x1?
in my old design i could fit 4 L Boxes, 3 S Boxes, 2 BBQ, 1 WB2, 1TC, 2 fireplaces, a sleepingbag and in the airlock 3 furnances.

i cant IMAGINE what i can fit NOW - thats mindblowing :D

From basically zero p2w a few years ago, face punch is now at a point where tehy are just milk the playerbase dry by adding more and more p2w content as well as overpriced dlcs

How are you getting the barrels on top in front of the large boxes in the square loot room? It looks like mine are hitting the wall frame and the large boxes seem all of the way to the back. The loot room is upgraded to shipping container

Barrels have the problem you cant lock them so they are less secure then boxes.

Vote with your wallet. It's absolutely time Facepunch stops these downright insulting practises. More and more p2w stuff is getting added and they're not even subtle about it. It was fine with the clothing skins since you could still turn skins off, but after the ninja suit, arctic suit and other small additions, Facepunch has realized the playerbase will bow down to, and defend them at a minute's notice. I, for one, will not buy this pack no matter how good it may be
