Ever notice how nobody asks “how are you going to pay for it” when we give massive government subsidies to Big Pharma, Big Oil, Big Tech, and defense contractors?

We have socialism for the super-rich, merciless capitalism for the rest.

Thank you Robert, this was PERFECT. You show the HUGE Return On Investment that corporations get when they contribute a small amount of dollars to the campaigns of congressmen.

Ignorance will prevail unless the people are educated. It's disgusting.

43, 000 of the richest working Americans received a 1.7 million dollar stimulus while the neediest of us received 1200 dollars. Does anybody see the insanity of this?

When their base doesn't even know the definition of socialism... I've heard them say that it's the same as communism!!

It gets tiring how any conversation is instantly dismissed with a few key buzz words. Socialism, cancel culture, woke, Venezuela, etc.. I miss being able to discuss, debate, argue, issues or such when differing views were merely part of it. Now, its a cliche and a few derogatory words and the discussion is over. Its really quite childish.

I live in Washington state. In my state, if you want to buy a small general aviation airplane, like a Cessna, you must pay sales tax on that purchase. Which will be at least 6.5% but can be as much as 10.25% depending upon the location of your purchase.
If you buy a commercial jetliner now Washington state, you pay NO SALES TAX!

"Corporate welfare"
Excellent term!

That is what these GQP marks voted for: their money going to the billionaires.

In other words, " they want to help the poor and low income", we want to help the millionaires and billionaires because we all know they need the most help.

Music to my ears to hear about how unfair this society has been to me. I helps me understand why it has been so hard for me to feel successful as a respected worker.

Having "too big to fail" industries is a sign that they're way out of balance and are more than likely to operate at the detriment of everyone else. Socialism is the cure for capitalism. Not that capitalism was always the worst thing, but it did its job and continued until it became bloated. Like someone malnourished who eats to the point of morbid obesity.

Any government kickbacks that these companies get should be based solely on the number of employees they have and how well their employees are paid and nothing else.

Right on Robert! Ralph Nader has been saying this for decades; social welfare is minuscule compared to corporate welfare.👍🏼☮️

Why can't the American people take congress to court for getting money for giving contracts? How is this any better than what Blagojevich did?

But they can't reform social security that hasn't been updated in 47 years ! That pisses me off while I'm in the food Bank line 🤦

One big solution, divest out of the stock market, and invest in community organizations and collective/cooperative enterprises. They are our future. THANK YOU Robert!

Ever since Bernie Sanders entered the presidential race in 2019, the rear window of my car has had this on it: "WE NEED A LIVING WAGE, WE NEED MEDICARE FOR ALL, LET'S END CORPORATE WELFARE."

Thank you, Professor Reich. You didn't mention farm subsidies. Many, many farmers consistently vote a GOP ticket. But, if you mention to them that the govt. subsidies that the receive in a slow season is basically welfare and that they are in fact welfare recipients, they have a cow(pun intended).
