Bro literally has NO idea what socialism is, does he? First things first, most are calling for social policy like free healthcare and public transportation, not socialism itself (90% of Americans can’t even define it accurately to show even the mildest understanding of it). Socialism has absolutely nothing to do with the government, it’s a socioeconomic ideology, not a government policy you can just ESTABLISH from nothing, it’s something that emerges from attempts to move away from capitalism, the very system that has corrupted and destroyed socialist nations attempting to do so. Its only target is those who use power to extract surplus revenue from the workers, as it is both stealing, and extortion of the highest form. The goal is the means of production to be owned and controlled by the workers themselves, managers and leaders still exist, but you have a say over what happens. Socialists all agree on that, the matter of the state is something divided among socialists in controversy, with no true consensus on what should be done, but that revolution is a necessity.
