There is three, just take a screenshot and trace every line. The third stick is just a square with lines connected to the second and third sticks, just an illusion, and doesn’t actually form a stick. Track every rightmost corner of the sticks, you can see that there is only three right corners, but four left corners. The top two lines of the third stick are connected to the bottom and top right of the second stick, and the bottom line of the third stick is connected to the top left of the fourth stick. Therefore, the third stick is a fake. This same illusion is used with the second stick, which is also a fake, therefore causing the second and third stick to create a third stick while making the illusion of there being four.
