OK this might not be as hard as it seems. openMW uses SDL2 and I think we have a working SDL2 implementation on Vita. This might look a lot like Modern Vintage Gamer's port of Diablo to the Switch. See that video for details.

Morrowind for the Vita would be a heck of a lofty project. It'd be interesting to see how (I'm not saying if) it would work out.

I just had an itch to play Skyrim recently, but I know Morrowind is amazing and vast as ever still too and that would be amazing to play on the vita.

What disappointed me a bit on the PSP was Dungeon Siege. What an excellent multiplayer RPG this would have been... going through this adventure together, working as a team. But the multiplayer didn't save any mission progress. No way we'd play through the whole thing in one go, what were they thinking? Would really be nice to have some more (non-j) action RPGs on the vita except for Dungeon Hunter. I like jrpgs too, but I grew up with tolkienesc High Fantasy like Diablo, Neverwinter Nights and Icewind Dale.

Since there is already an open source engine replacement (OMW) I would probably start looking there if I knew anything about coding for the Vita.

I got my PSVita 2000 a few days ago. Everyone was all good until I saw dead pixels in the corner and the buttons were sqeaky. When I went on Ebay to ask for a refund the Seller said they'd refund me 30 dollars as a refund fee?? A PSVita 2000 screen, buttons, and my time to waste is worth more than 30 dollars. Wtf

I think morrow might be a boy much for the ps vita to handle tbh.

The vita struggles with half life, quake 3 and Wolfenstein. So I'm not overly optimistic but it should be possible, though I believe some heavy optimisations will be required.

I mean there really shouldn't be a reason for it not to be possible see how many Android games are on vita and there being an Android port of morrowind, I just wish that oblivion actually released on psp

I love the idea very much but I feel like the vita is too underpowered to run the game. Still, I'm gonna hope for the best!

Also, I hope some dev would continue the ds emulation. It doesn't have to run full 3d games, just some graphically light games like ace attorney and some jrpgs.
