Why No One Wants a PlayStation Vita - PS Vita Dead

When the PS Vita had recently came out, there was a huge wave of people and developers dismissing the handheld all together. I blame Sony for sinking the PlayStation Vita before it even had a chance to grow on people because they favored on their bigger bread winner, the PS4.

I always loved and cared about the PSVita and I took the time to read an article that went in deep about their perspective on the handheld. Now that it's 2023, a lot more people are interested in the PS Vita, so funny how times change.

I didn't like the vita when I first saw it. But then I got my PS4 and I figured I would buy a vita for the second screen and remote play functions, and I love it now. The PlayStation Vita is a truly brilliant handheld gaming device, I enjoy all the free games I get with my PS+ membership on my vita. It is awesome. 10/10 would recommend.

Yes the Vita is dead when you made the video, but now thanks to some games like freedom wars, disgaea etc, its starting to become a trend

To all the people complaining about 3DS' graphics, if you buy a handheld for graphics, you're doing gaming wrong. Nintendo are known for the diversity of their gameplay's experiences, and thankfully enough that's what people are looking for when they buy a handheld device. Don't get me wrong, Vita is very cool, but 3DS just offers a way more diverse and vast library of games, including a lot of renowned first-party titles. You need to stop talking about the 3DS and the Vita like they were in a war or something, as a gamer, and if you consider yourself that, just open yourselves to the different experiences this industry has to offer, and Playstation and Nintendo systems always were great complementary systems to own.
Anyway, to get back to the main subect, I hope the Vita starts to sell in the West, Japan is getting so many games we can only dream of over here... Even Sony seem to have lost hope completly, not taking any risks, not releasing shit for it anymore, just letting it slowly die.

Funny how Nintendo is doing horrible with there Wii U but amazingly incredible with the 3DS, while Sony is doing terrible (more like decent, but not amazing) with the Vita but INCREDIBLE with the PS4, and it hasn't even been 2 full months of its launch.

The PS Vita and the Wii U suffer from the same syndrome: devs don't want to make games for them because no one buys them, and no one buys them because devs don't want to make games! I mean, why be afraid of losing money if you already have so much of it, and this could possibly make you more? All they do is port some older games. I just want some established franchise games instead of obscure indie games(which I know people love, but we have a large amount of those now)

The marketing point is spot-on; Mario and Link are so ingrained in the nostalgia-infected brains of some gamers that they advertise themselves, but Sony needs to spend actual money to get information out about the Vita.

But, the PS Vita has a huge selection of games... like tearaway and flower. Oh, did I mention that it has these two other great titles called tearaway and flower. Also, did anyone hear about those two new titles? I think theyre called Tearaway and Flower

After getting the vita, I'm of the opinion that it is the best handheld system by far.  I also own the 3DS and the 1st/3rd party thing seems to go both ways depending on the point a journalist is trying to make.  The argument against the wii U is that there's a lack of 3rd party support, the argument against the vita is lack of 1st party support...

What's being ignored here is ps3/ps4 connectivity, existing library of games from PSP and PSN which is enormous, and simply the tremendous power of the unit.

If I had to pick a single console of this generation to own, I would at this point pick the Vita over all of the other consoles (and I have most of them at this point).
