Loose Disc In Your Sealed PS5 Game? Here's The Fix #ps5 #gaming

If you've ever gotten a PS4 or PS5 game in the mail, and the disc is loose, then you're not alone. It happens all the time. And if you're a sealed collector, then this completely ruins the game you bought. But, there is a little trick you can do that helps you re-seat the disc on the spindle, without opening the game. I had seen you mention this in an older video and I could never get it to work, then just kind of forgot about it. I finally realized what I was doing wrong. I wasn't putting the game on a flat surface, I was trying to click the disc in while holding it and that doesn't work. Putting it on a flat surface did the trick. I've had like 6 sealed games sitting on my shelf with loose discs, most of which have been sitting there for years now and I finally got them reseated properly. Thanks for this!

Yep - this has been around since the PS4, likely because PS is basically using the same cases. It’s been a known defect in the mold for years.

No need for a light though, if you carefully jostle lightly and in a circular motion, eventually you’ll hear the disc stop rattling. That’s when you know it’s positioned to snap in place.

The easier trick it to carefully remove the plastic wrapping, opening the plastic tray and putting the disc back in its spot. After you can carefully put it on your shelf just like new!

The back label of the case, or whatever you call it, can get damaged from this though by the underside of the button - it has around 6 small pointy bits on it that can almost pierce through the paper and plastic

It pisses me off EVERY TIME retailers do this to me, and I’ve only been successful with puttin’ the disc back on the spindle thru the unopened case two or three times. Gotta keep this knowledge in my pocket.

Whenever I resell and ship games I always add a little square of bubble wrap in the center. It won't let the disc pop out and dance around
