Background Secrets, Easter Eggs + Cameos

This video states that servebots first appeared in The Misadventures of Tron Bonne. This game is a prequel to Mega Man Legends but was actually released 2 years later than that game. So, technically they actually first appeared in Mega Man Legends (1997). Well done if you spotted that.

Thanks for watching.

Please let me know if you like this type of video. Indepth looks into various fighting game backgrounds but with additional footage, some history and other information. I think a ton of the extra touches and details go underappreciated in a lot of games.

Imagine how legendary SFxT could be without that gem system 😢

Background NPCs reacting to hype moments is unique ways is a nice touch that will sadly go underappreciated since, you know, it's not the *main* focus of fighting games and the actual playable characters.

All this on one stage alone. I adore these kinds of videos, Desk. Big fan of the one you did showing off MVC1’s assist characters!

The Press Cameraman is the same cameraman in the China stage in SF4. It's also safe to assume he's the cameraman in SFXTK's Elevator to Space stage, given the similar body.

This is legit something I've always been fascinated with I don't think fighting game backgrounds get enough credit like there's always so much happening in them. do these for fgc and smash. In like a year or two if you have a fat collection of videos it's going to be so sick to just run through that playlist

i appreciated "SERVBOT HEAD" as it really needed no more introduction: it's a servbot head

Servbots first appeared in Mega Man Legends, not Misadventures of Tron Bonne. Also, there is only one E in Servbot.

You forgot the tank as a shadaloo sign, although it's pretty obvious, it still shows that there is a conflict between the two factions.

Great video! I love these types of vids and would gladly watch more!

I think I saw a typo at the Ghouls n Ghost poster. Caption says “Ghouls n Ghosts (Arcade, 1998)”. Pretty sure you meant 1988.

Please keep videos like this coming! These are things that people don't really notice going on in the background or if they do they really don't understand their origins/relevance. I always try to keep an eye out for things like this when I'm playing fighting games, it's good to see you making videos about these references and discussing their origins!

This is a beautiful video. So much detail invested into *one* stage...I'll always give props to fighting game devs who craft their games down to the smallest/"least important" details.

This was pretty cool!! I really hope you keep this series going because I bet there are a ton of other stages that should be explored like this from other games

Amazing how chock full of detail is in the stage and most of us won't notice half of what you discovered. I don't play fighting games anymore, but appreciate your content and this type of video was a fun watch. The music is amazing too! Great work all around.
