The developers had some fun taking pictures of each other and painting silly moustaches then putting the pictures in the console for an easter egg, I love that.

It's not really the kind of "haunt you in your sleep" creepy, moreso the super unsettling creepy that jumpscares you at first and then stays in your mind but you only remember it at the worst moments.

Fun Fact: these weird faces were actually supposed to be a fun joke, similar to Majin Sonic. The reason why Majin was creepy was only because of the music used (the boss music) was majorly different from JP to USA. These lot a creepy because of the music and the fact they look kind of uncanny.
