The part where Murtogg confidently nods but says “No” indicating that he doesnt understand the question but thinks hes still seen the Black Pearl is underrated

*Mullroy*: "I think he’s telling the truth."
*Murtogg*: "If he were telling the truth, he wouldn’t have told us."
*Jack*: "Unless, of course, he knew you wouldn’t believe the truth even if he told it to you."

Definitely one of the top 3 parts of the movie.

Wow, haven't watched Pirates of the Caribbean in such a long while! The part where the guards argue over the existence of the black pearl whilst jack makes haste to the ship, made me laugh hard for the first time in forever! 😆😅

That “man so evil that Hell itself spat him back out” may have actually been a reference to Davy Jones. My understanding is that he controlled the Pearl before Jack Sparrow did.

I love this Captain. I wish the filmmakers kept him like this. Starting from the third movie, Jack quickly escalated from the smart, cunning and charismatic characters he is to the not-quite-in-his-mind bumbling and weird man. I guess death does that to a person...
