Intro A Guide to Grade 9 Subject Choices

As promised, this week we are exploring the concept of Subject Choices in Grade 9.
Once you are in grade 9 in South Africa, you may be required to choose subjects that you will continue with in Grade 10 to 12.

Normally these subjects need to be in line with the requirements of any qualification you would like to continue to study at higher education stage, should you wish to continue your studies.

Are Grade 9's ready for such a big decision at this stage of their lives?
Who guides them in making these decisions and how can they try and make the best decision for themselves?
