Thank you! Just one mistake - the statue was definitely not brought to (the republic of) Czechoslovakia (1918-[1939-1945]-1992) but to its predecessor the Kingdom of Bohemia (ruled then in personal union by the Austrian Habsburg archduke, the Holy Roman Emperor).

As what the statue of the Child meant for the Princess - Polyxena was the penultimate member of her family (House of Pernštejn) and her husband was one of the last living members of the House of (Popel of) Lobkowicz. As she and her husband prayed to the Child to have a child, their prayers were answered. At the 43rd year of her life (and the 42nd of her husband's), Polyxena gave birth to her only child, a son named Václav Eusebius František, who became the Duke of Sagan, Imperial Field Marshal, President of the Grand Council and of the Privy Council, Court Grand Master and the sole progenitor of the present House of Lobkowicz.
