This increases performance for me for like a minute then drops the speed down to like 300kb, I can't figure this out

I do get a very fast transfer speed at the start but then it just goes down to between 1mb and 355kb.

Unfortunately you are NOT right! The caching here means memory caching on your laptop, not in the drive. When you enable it, it means the data will first go into your computer RAM and then slowly from the RAM into the disk. It will appear it completed the transfer but it will continue in the background. That's why it is "less safe" and you should not disconnect it from PC because if you disconnect it, the data won't be copied on the drive completely and you could end up with the damaged filesystem. Same if your system crashes. Sadly, this doesn't fix Orico slowness AT ALL, it will still copy from the cache to it slowly. I have no idea why it is so slow but there must be something to it. Orico recommends specific SSD models. It must be doing something inefficiently for other models or other models are turning off parallel writes to NANDs by itself for some reason. EDIT: I improved write speed of my Adata SSD three times by upgrading its firmware. Worth a try in your case too.

Cannot enable "write caching". My Samsung QVO 870 doesn't have this feature.

I have a Samsung 970 Evo in a small ORICO enclosure and I am only getting 35-40MB/s offload speeds. I used the drive to record Cinema DNG footage on my camera and it takes hours to copy to my editing computer with just a few minutes of footage. I tried this trick and it did not affect the offload speeds.

I´ve also activated the Cache, but my Samsung T9 Shield have only the half Speed
that it should bring.Connected on an Asus Z690 Mainboard on the USB 3.2 Gen 2x2
Port. With the Crystal Disk Speed Test she brings the full Performance, and that´s
the Reason why I never trust this synthetic Speed Tests.Create a Folder with
30-40 GB and start a Copy Process to another SSD Drive and you see the Reality!!
