Thank you for the”new to me” border method. I always end up with too much (or not enough) border to fit my quilts! This will make it so much easier to match the main body of the quilt to the borders and sew them together.
It does make a difference for me as far as the fabric goes only for the price. Yes, it is nice to be able to get quilt shop quality fabric, but…what if you can only afford TEMU or Amazon or Walmart? As for me, I want to sew and quilt, so why do I have to wait until I save up enough money to afford the quilt shop fabric when I can get Amazon or TEMO fabric now?
I’m making my quilt for myself (because I love to sew ) and not for a competition or to sell.
I will love it, no matter which fabric I use!

I also am leery of Temu. But if you think about it it’s pretty silly to be because so much of what we buy from anywhere is made in China.

I’m apologizing for my first comment a bit but it has nothung to do with making this quilt. I thunk it would be great in flannel, fleece or maybe even Minkie (sp??) for a wonderful cozy and warm quilt for cold days, or maybe for camping, etc. Adding the borders was a unique idea and sure does make it more than easy to get a long border. Thank you for a very nice quick quilt!!!

The fact that the fabric came from TEMU bothers more than anything else. I won’t buy anything!!! from this place and buying fabric makes me seeth! Getting cheap fabrics from Communist China (that’s TEMU) is more than wrong. I want to support my local and some online shops I trust - it’s called supporting your local shops! I apologize if I seem cranky, but keep in mind what and where you are purchasing.
